Happiness is... is all about little elements in my life that makes me happy. I have always enjoyed the simple things in life and wanted to show this through my project of quirky illustrations and CAD. I started my project with taking photos of vintage china, feeding the birds, cooking and anywhere that made me happy. With some gloominess in the world a little bit of happiness wouldn’t go a miss?

- My name is Jade Devall and I am a Designer and Illustrator of a range of kitchenware, textiles and gift cards. I work from my studio in Staffordshire to bring you designs that are innovative and beautiful. All my life I have enjoyed the simple things like going for afternoon tea, riding my bike down to the park and cooking 'til my hearts content (or at least until I couldn’t eat anymore!). I like to gaze out of my studio window and draw objects which then become narratives. I love going to vintage shops, charity shops and flee markets which often are great source of inspiration. My ranges of illustrations are quirky and imaginative and are all about the simple things in life that make me happy. My work has a huge focus on using hand drawn imagery and Photoshop. I have the ability to design conceptually but also to follow current trends to produce commercial and contemporary designs.In my spare time I collect and sell Vintage China Tea sets and Home wares as well as making Vintage Cake stands which I sell at Big Vintage Fairs across the Midlands and North.
